The Room

Had a fun night. Just bought my first fur coat. I know I'm late in the game. I wanted to make sure it was the "right" one. You know they can be a bit gaudy sometimes, but I still admire them as long as it's worn in the right way (as with all things, duh). I found it at Judy's work, Wasteland. That place is the mecca of all meccas of second hand/most of the time new fresh and current designer threads, at unbelievably low price points (relatively speaking). It's one of the only ways, that this broke ass student can live a lie, "keeping up." Anyway it's beautiful, mint condition, rabbit, and sooo sooo soft...I'm in love.

Anyway that last picture was the aftermath of much debauchery. I haven't gotten out of hand like that in a while. I didn't even know I had it in me anymore. Yippee, I can still drink like a champ! I was getting a bit worried there.

I'm not that f-ing careless though, throwing my special duds on the floor like that. Tsk, tsk Mo..I guess Dillon (alter ego) decided to come out and play.

These images were taken from my friend Hassan's S I T E.

One of my favorite inspiration sites that I frequent. No commentary, just pure imagery bliss. I always get lost and lost for hours just studying. A combination of well-designed things, to fashion, to the obscure. L O V E.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Go here

At Roadhouse Rags, TX Must check out!!

Wowee, what a trip. Had a nice quick short get away with my gal pal Shana to Austin, TX. We met up with my British friend Scott who just moved there, so it was a real treat!

That place is no joke. It is indeed the vintage mecca of all meccas. I was unable to photograph it all, as a lot of stores in Austin don't allow photography in the stores. I was able to get one blurry picture of Shana in this amazing mint condition black cocktail dress wih ostrich trimming on the bottom. The picture doesn't do it justice, but it was such a steal at $40!

That kind of dress would have sold between $300+ easily in LA or NY..or any fine high-end vintage store. Good finds over there, geez.

Amazing stores to check out: Roadhouse rags, Thrift town, and a lot of stores on Congress street-most especially 'Prototype.'

Lots and lots of eating. If you don't know me by now, I simply love love love food, right next to clothing/fashion. Who doesn't? Did a little bit of partying at the Beauty Bar over there, that was fun. Lots and lots of eye candy. It really is the live music capital of the world. We we're able to catch the band "cribs," and the front man of Moldy Peaches' new band. Pretty cool. :)

Anyway, I'm out. More to come soon. Have a good week ya'll!

Wow. Someone's been missing in action. Maybe two people...2009, two thousand-too late..what a year and what a doozy! So many changes, transitions, good ones and bad..deaths, especially among the celebrity circuit. Let's ring in 2010 with some love and hope for a better future.

Well with that being said..N E W, keyword. Well my partner in crime Erin, has landed herself an awesome gig. Needless to say her contributions here at buttonsandbows was and are short lived but will be forever treasured. I'm sure she'll make her cameos still. <3> Equally as stylish in her own rite, and most importantly one of the raddest chicks I've come to know. Meet the new BB contributor. Lots of fun stuff in store. Can't wait to share. Will be doing much brighter and bolder things this year.

Up are a few pictures from the infamous Rosebowl. So fortunate and spoiled really to be able to attend this each month. So many people flock to this particular flea market, because it is just gargantuan in size full of treasures, and of course some crap. Anyway, I'm back and maybe with a vengence.

Lots of finds and buys coming your way, check back soon.
