Shades of gris

(Images via http://carlyhunter.blogspot.com/)

Came across these lovely images from photographer Traianos Pakioufakis. Shot in the sand dunes of Lancelin, Australia.

Concept shoot DAMNED TWINS / DUNE CHILDREN styled by Carly Hunter.

I love how the images are in tonal and a monochromatic manner. These images are absolutely breath taking. I can get lost in this for hours.

You can read more in an interview here.

once in a life time

Helmut Lang dress

Vintage one of a kind dress

Diane Von Furstenberg dress

Rock & Republic Fetish shoes

Geezuz chrisseee, that last picture of those shoes are ragawddamndiculous. I didn't even know Rock & Republic made puppies like that. Truly a work of art-garter straps and gun metal spike zippers, are you kidding me right now?

Sorry, get a grip Mo. Yes I'm selling them. No, I cannot keep them for myself. I need to eat.

Just added and should be live at the BBLA ebay store. If you don't see it, give it a couple hours, it likes to lagg like a mofo.

Hope you like the pieces. All are starting at a ridiculously low starting point. All unique and all waiting to be yours. Enjoy! Whew, now off to mircoeconomics. Yay, NOT!

(Chloe shoes)

Took some snap shots in my garden today. It is unbelievably gorgeous outside. Sometimes I forget that I live in the middle of downtown LA, but that's why I love my little oasis of a place I call home.

I just wanted to say thank you for the lovely comments in the previous post. I was surprised to wake up to some very kind words.

There are 8 auctions up so far, and I will be adding a few more later on today. Please check them out under SHOP BBLA on the left side or just CLICK HERE.

Have a lovely day my pretties. Merci beaucoup.

Nom Nom

Can I just say, I really really really need this right now?!

I just love the beautiful colors, textures, the fragrance that comes from macarons, and of course the varied flavours! My current favorite is cassis. So nommy.

Well today I just finished shooting some stuff for the store. I know, I'm super lagging. Kinda hard when you're doing super fun things like micro-economics and statistics. Fucking shoot me. Stay tuned lots of cute things coming your way. Vintage springy dresses, Helmut Lang, Marc Jacobs, Robert Clergerie, Vintage Chanel, and more!

To know is to love

Tina Chow: Ultimate style icon. Timeless, effortless, and mesmerizing.

"Tina Chow (April 18, 1950–January 24, 1992) was an internationally renowned model and a fashion icon in the 1980s. She was also a member of the International Best Dressed List. In 1972, Tina married Michael Chow, who owns the Mr. Chow restaurant chain. During her model career she was photographed by Cecil Beaton and Arthur Elgort. Michael and Tina Chow were among the most famous New York celebrities, making many friends among the Big Apple's art world, including Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Julian Schnabel, Mary Boone, and Henry Geldzahler. During an estrangement from Chow, she had affairs with Richard Gere and a bisexual French fashion arbiter Kim d’Estainville. From d’Estainville, she contracted HIV, becoming one of the first heterosexual women to become infected with the disease that would eventually end her life. Her couture collection was sold in 1993 by Christie's in New York. Chow died of AIDS on 24 January 1992 at the age of 41; she spent her last days at her home in Pacific Palisades, California."

Giuliana Fujiwara

Ok, I know I've been slacking on the boys' stuff, but what can I say? Sometimes I'm in the dark too.

Stumbled upon these really great men's accessories off the Digital Darkroom blog. Love these pieces to bits.

"Giuliano Fujiwara the Japanese designer based in Italy since 1976.
Known by his asymmetry concept combining the present age with the
future, keeping the beauty of the minimalism since he debuted his
first collection in Milan in 1986."

The Do LAB

Wow, this weekend was a doozy. Coachella is such an unreal experience. Seriously.

It's so unreal, people often reference the post experience as the Coachella blues. I am definitely going through it.

Coachella is such a fantastical place. It really transports you into a false reality. I have been to a few music festivals and the production of this particular festival is unparalleled. The music this year was ridiculous! Definitely one of the more important ones to me musically speaking.

Thom Yorke, XX, Phoenix, the Gossip, Beach House, Gorillaz....we're all so great to watch.

Anyway enjoy the pictures! It took a while to upload, but I hope you can get a sense of how unreal this past weekend was for me. Back to life, back to reality :(
