skin deep

Been in a "snake-y" mood lately. Decided to reward myself with a couple new purchases. Just received these kick ass snake-skin inspired sandals from pixie market. I love them. I needed a new summer sandal, and this is one of them. I was so worried about them selling out, because you know with pixie market, their shit sells out fast.

Second purchase was the snake skin Gucci bracelet I found on ebay for $36!! Gotta love ebay some times. I mean I do. :)

So excited for the long weekend! I hope it involves a lot of shaking of my tush, sipping on yummy libations, EATING of course, and being around fine fine folks and the people I love the most. Have a beautiful weekend my loves.

MMmmmMMMm is for Macarons.

Had an epic weekend. My sister came in to town to visit. Spent a lovely Parisian lunch at The Little Next Door. Had all sorts of yumminess as you can see. If you haven't heard about this place, or are interested in trying this place out, just DO it. The ambiance alone transports you out of the city, and for that, that's always worth a trip.

Followed lunch up by dancing til the wee hours of Sunday morning. No I mean it, we danced until 8 Am, and it was just so magical. Wow how time flies, it's already almost the weekend. Yay for US.

Hey there! I apologize for the couple blurry photos, that's what happens when you are on a self-timer, and no one else to focus in on the object. Nonetheless, I have so many goodies in stock. Here is just a preview and some of my favorite picks out of the collection. So be sure to check back by end of the week. Of course the prices will be swell and affordable to be able to own these coveted pieces.

Please note, all bathing suits have never been worn and are NWT's. A very hygienic boy short was worn underneath the bathing suits, so excuse the panty lines. :)

I hope you enjoy them as much as I love being the one to be able to provide you with such amazing finds!

Had a fabulous meal with my friend Vic and her boyfriend.

LudoBites is a guerilla style pop-up restaurant event created by Chef Ludo Lefebvre. Think of it as a restaurant within a restaurant limited only by Ludo’s imagination. It has been referred to as “Mad Genius” and celebrated for its “Kitchen Miracles.” Jonathan Gold of LA Weekly was so impressed with LudoBites that one week after it concluded it summer 2009 stand at Breadbar, he included it as one of his 99 Most Essential Restaurants in LA, saying “you can’t find it in Directory Assistance, and you can’t have dinner there tomorrow night. It has no address. So in a sense, Ludo Bites, the restaurant of Ludovic Lefebvre, doesn’t really exist.”

Although Ludo’s restaurant has no permanent address, “wonders flow from his borrowed stoves.” “The restaurant is a figment of Ludo’s imagination. And if you’re lucky, of yours, too.” Ludo's chilled liquified chorizo soup from LudoBites 2.0 was named to Mr. Gold's "Top 10 Dishes of 2009."

Needless to say everything was so yummmmyyyy.

All photos were taken by VIC. Please check out her blog. I thought I was a major foodie, but she blows me out of the water. Food porn all the way to step by step macaron recipes. Yum!

Disclaimer: Don't go to her blog on an empty stomach, unless you're sadistic and you like that kind of torturous treatment.

rhonda knows

(Tights House of Holland Pretty Polly)

Had a wild time this weekend at Rhonda's.

Check out more flix at my dear friend Quentin's site: THE WORST

His pictures are pretty much amazing. Surreal even. Shows that LA really loves to get down.

OC F/W 2010 Look Book

Loving Opening Ceremony's F/W 2010 look book. The inventive way of layers upon layers, and the nice bold colors that brighten up the usual go-to mundane colors of the dark are all flippin' splendiferous.

Funny thing, at my PCC flea market raid, I found myself buying all these sheer and feminine pieces, slips, cover ups, etc...some that look absolutely hideous on its own, but if you do just the right pairings and accessorize it just right, it transforms it to be one of the most significant pieces of an outfit. For instance all the pieces that the female model is wearing in the look book, is so eye catching and fun to look at by adding the sheer layer.

Initially for the Angel's Knoll shoot, I styled myself in a completely different outfit, similar to the concepts above. My brother thought I looked f-ing crazy, so we didn't do it. But I'm still going to do it, it's just going to take place in a dark amazing studio at my friend's loft in downtown. Can't wait to shoot that next week.

I am definitely going to play with the underwear idea as outerwear and stray away from my usual uniform attire of shorts, shirt, and boots. So friends, if you see me out and about in lingerie, channeling my inner Madonna, don't hate.

I am actually going to start shooting the next batch of things for the store next week, lots of pretty and feminine dresses (vintage and high end) will be coming your way soon.
