Expensive Vs. Inexpensive Makeup- Where to Invest your Money

Hello ladies, I just wanted to give you guys a heads up on either spending an arm and leg on products or keeping it on the cheap side. Whenever I go into a makeup store or the beauty aisle of a local drug store, it's like a candy store built to make me look gorgeous! Sometimes it's not always best to spend a crap load of money on certain beauty products, being that you might just wear it once or twice even. Here are some tips on what you should spend a little more cash money on and the things you can keep on the cheap side.
Take a look!

Splurge
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
Foundation
Foundation is definitely a makeup item you should spend money on. You want to achieve a flawless and smooth finish that is exactly your skin tone. The more expensive the foundation, the more color options you will have to match your skin- this is very important. Plus, when you purchase a nicer foundation, usually you can get a consultation with a makeup artist to ensure you find and buy exactly what your looking for.

Cover Girl Tru Blend Minerals Powder
Powder
For pressed or loose powders, you really don't need to spend much. They all do the same thing and give the same effect for controlling shine and setting your makeup. No need to splurge here babes!

Splurge
Christian Dior Garden Party Eyeshadow Palette
Eyeshadow
Eyeshadow comes in a variety of colors and textures that are fun to play around with. I do think if you are experimenting with a certain look or want to play around with colors, do the cheap stuff. BUT, if you want really nice, true to color shades with excellent application and pigmentation, you must splurge a little.

L'Oreal Carbon Black Le Kohl Pencil
Eyeliner
Pencil eyeliner can be bought pretty inexpensive. A lot of the drugstore brands gives you tons of options for all-day wear that won't budge or break your bank. You can find smudge eyeliners that you can achieve a smoky sexy look or water proof eyeliner for all-day wear. I do think if you are using a liquid liner, definitely go with a "better" drug store brand like L'oreal or Revlon.

Splurge
 Chanel Universal Bronzer
Bronzer
Please please please do not buy cheap bronzer. Not only does it not blend well, the color options that are available in the drug store will make you look orange, burnt, and a little dirty. LOL JK, but seriously if you want a really nice, smooth, and perfect tan you must try this Chanel cream bronzer. It works miracles on my skin!

Save
Rimmel London Match Perfection Blush
Blush
While inexpensive bronzer can easily end up making you look dirty, blush doesn’t present the same risks. Drug stores offer a wide variety of blush shades and formulas that are simply fantastic. I happen to be a fan of cream blushes since I have dry skin, but powder works perfectly fine too.

It's a Tie!
Tom Ford Sweet Spot Sheer Lipstick
Lip Color
The color selection at the drugstore rivals that of any department store, but you might choose to spend a few more bucks on a high-quality lipstick for the ingredients and pigments. Luxury brand lipsticks have a high-pigment concentration ensuring a better color, and they’re often loaded with lip-conditioning ingredients that you won’t find in less expensive products. But hey, the cheap stuff looks great too!

Save
Maybelline Shine Sensational Lip Gloss
Gloss
Mmmm, my favorite makeup of all things to wear! Lips gloss is something that you should not have to spend much on. Cheap gloss vs. expensive gloss is simple, they both give you that glossy lip you want. So what's the point of spending a ton of money on them...none!

XOXO
